The prescription drug Aricept, used to treat the dementia that results from Alzheimer’s disease, has had a new generic version approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. This version, to be made available at every Online Canadian Pharmacy, will dissolve instantly on the tongue.
There are already other versions of Aricept on the market that use the drug’s active ingredients. However, this new tablet will melt on the tongue quickly to make it much easier for disabled or elderly people to take, says the FDA in a press release.
While Alzheimer’s is one of the most common causes of dementia among the elderly, it is not supposed to be a normal part of aging. Alzheimer’s slow, progressive brain disease destroys memory and brain power while eventually leading to a total lack of performing simple tasks.
The Aricept generic drugs will be available to purchase in two forms: 5 milligram or 10 milligram. Philadelphia-based Mutual Pharmaceuticals will be producing the medication.
